Job summary

Barclays UK is seeking a Vice President Consumer Credit Lawyer to support the secured lending practice within a regulated environment. The role is based in Glasgow, Manchester or Birmingham with hybrid working.

A highly competitive salary and benefits package is offered. You will advise on consumer lending products, manage regulatory risk, and work with senior stakeholders to navigate CONC, the Consumer Credit Act, and FCA Handbook requirements.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer/solicitor with finance experience.
• Experience advising senior stakeholders on CONC, Consumer Credit Act, and FCA Handbook.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to regulatory risk.

Responsibilities

• Support the full range of consumer lending products - point of sale finance, loans, credit cards and overdrafts.
• Work within a strong team of experienced lawyers.
• Contribute to new product development and strategic partnerships.
• Provide legal advice and risk management for consumer credit lending within Barclays UK Legal.
