Job summary

IntecSelect in London is seeking a Lead Engineer (VP) to drive the transformation of Front Office technology. This high-impact role sits at the heart of a multi-year platform modernisation programme, building real-time, low-latency trading systems that directly support trading workflows.

You will combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership, shaping the platform and engineering standards across Back End and Front End, partnering with traders to translate requirements into scalable

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in modern Java, including concurrency and memory management.
• Experience designing Real Time, event-driven systems.
• Advanced Front End experience with React, Vite, NX.
• Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Experience designing and deploying RESTful and event-driven APIs.
• Hands-on experience with containerisation and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• A track record of driving engineering excellence through CI/CD and code quality.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve real-time, high-performance microservices for trading workflows.
• Lead end-to-end solution design across Back End and Front End.
• Partner directly with traders to translate requirements into impactful solutions.
• Drive best practices across distributed systems, testing, CI/CD, and code quality.
• Influence and contribute to the modernisation strategy of the Fixed Income tech stack.
• Act as a technical leader, raising the bar across engineering standards and design decisions.
