Job summary

The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation in Manchester is seeking a Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to lead high-impact software teams and own end-to-end delivery of secure, scalable systems.

You will partner with product, design and operations to drive architecture modernization, cloud adoption, AI integration, and best-practice DevOps, while mentoring talent and upholding regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of software engineering teams building distributed systems and microservices in agile environments.
• Deep Java experience (Spring) and strong API design.
• Hands-on AI development and experience integrating AI into product workflows.
• Strong DevOps practices: CI/CD, automated testing, logging/monitoring, and cloud containers.
• Financial services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop inclusive, high-performing engineering teams; set objectives and coach talent.
• Own end-to-end delivery for critical software: requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment.
• Raise engineering excellence and resilience across code, testing, microservices, performance, and infrastructure.
• Partner with product, design, and operations to translate outcomes into plans; guide modernization and debt remediation.
• Represent engineering in governance forums; ensure compliance and risk management.
