Job summary

The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation in Manchester seeks a Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to join the Trustee & Depositary (T&D) Engineering organization. You will design, develop, test, and maintain end-to-end full stack applications using modern technologies and agile methods.

In this role you will collaborate with product partners and stakeholders, apply an AI-first mindset, integrate AI/ML capabilities, and contribute to code quality, testing, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Hands-on experience in full-stack development across front-end and back-end technologies.
• Strong experience with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS, and Angular (or similar).
• Familiarity with agile software development, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and secure design in finance is a plus.
• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into applications, including REST-based AI services and LLM APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain end-to-end full-stack applications across the SDLC.
• Collaborate with engineers, product partners, and stakeholders to deliver shared outcomes using Agile methods.
• Apply AI-first engineering mindset to automate and improve code quality, testing, and delivery speed.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities and AI-driven services to enhance user experience and decision-making.
• Promote software quality, security, and maintainability through reviews, automation, and debt management.
• Provide maintenance, troubleshooting, and deployment support within change controls.
