Job summary

The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation in Manchester is seeking a Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to join our Engineering team.

You will drive evolution of the Enterprise Workflow Engine into a scalable orchestration platform and lead the design of Workflow Studio and AI-assisted tooling for engineers and business users to model, configure, and deploy workflows, decisions, forms, and reusable components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• Deep hands-on expertise in Java (v17/21) and Spring Boot for scalable, API-first services.
• Experience with BPMN 2.0, DMN, and enterprise workflow engines (e.g., Camunda).
• Full-stack capability with front-end (Angular) and middleware/event streaming (Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ).
• Proven track record delivering production-grade platforms with SDLC excellence.

Responsibilities

• Drive evolution of the Enterprise Workflow Engine into a multi-agent orchestration platform.
• Lead design and delivery of Workflow Studio and designer tooling for models, configurations, and deployments.
• Architect multi-tenant, modular platform components and abstract the workflow engine for extensibility.
• Embed observability, resilience, security, CI/CD, testing, and data architecture across the stack.
