Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President level engineer to join the Exchange Connectivity team in London. You will develop and maintain order routers, ensuring low-latency access to exchanges, brokers, and liquidity sources for securitized instruments.

You will work across multiple business and tech units to deliver robust software within tight timescales. Ideal candidates will have strong C++ skills, experience in distributed, high-performance systems, and familiarity with exchange protocols

Qualifications

Advanced expertise in low-latency engineering.
Subject matter knowledge of exchange protocols, certification processes and regulations.
Strong C++ skills combined with AI/ML applications.
Experience in Unix/Linux environments and distributed service architectures.

Responsibilities

Communicate with product leads and discuss improvements to tech solutions.
Develop order routers as part of a global team.
Handle new markets, upgrades, and break-fixes for Order Router software.
Participate in full project lifecycle from requirements to deployment and support.
Design/develop products to add value to services provided.
Perform exchange certification, regression testing, and occasional weekend work.
Provide L3 support and align with production operations.
