Citi Belfast is seeking a senior data engineer to lead design, development, and optimization of high-performance ETL solutions using the Ab Initio toolkit. You will collaborate with business users and finance teams to deliver robust data pipelines feeding Citi's Oracle General Ledger system.

The role requires deep SQL/RDBMS expertise, UNIX shell scripting, and strong SDLC/Agile experience. A hybrid work model is available with opportunities to innovate and own critical data processes.

Qualifications

• Software development experience in Banking/Financial Tech environment.
• Hands-on experience developing complex ETL with Ab Initio toolkit (GDE/Control Centre/Metadata Hub).
• Deep expertise in RDBMS (Oracle) and ability to write advanced SQL.
• Strong proficiency in UNIX environments and shell scripting.
• Experience across SDLC and Agile methodologies; familiarity with Jira.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to own tasks and manage risks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with business users and cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and optimize complex ETL apps using Ab Initio toolkit to meet requirements.
• Collaborate with business users, financial analysts, and tech teams to understand requirements and ensure timely delivery.
• Drive all phases of SDLC within Agile; prepare handover docs, perform testing, support UAT/production implementations.
• Utilize SQL and RDBMS knowledge to analyze data issues and ensure data integrity in Oracle ledger.
• Innovate by creating automated utilities to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Own technical issues by monitoring processes, resolving defects, and tracking bugs in Jira.
