Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President-level Cyber, Privacy & Resilience Legal Counsel to advise on data protection, privacy and operational resilience across EMEA. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, incident response and strategic guidance for senior business units.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience as a qualified lawyer, ideally with financial services exposure.
  • Deep knowledge of UK FCA/PRA OpRes rules, EU DORA, NIS2, Cyber Resilience Act and GDPR.
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory obligations into practical guidance for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as principal legal advisor for cybersecurity, privacy, data, fraud and operational resilience to Morgan Stanley entities in EMEA.
  • Develop a comprehensive cybersecurity and privacy framework aligned with applicable laws.
  • Advise on data collection, storage and sharing, data transfer restrictions, and regulator engagement after incidents.
  • Lead response to cyber, information security and regulatory incidents, including notifications to regulators and clients.
