Job summary

Citigroup Belfast is seeking a meticulous Risk and Control professional to support Client Asset Protection, ensuring FCA CASS, MCAR and MiFID II compliance. You will lead governance sessions, track incidents, coordinate audit activities, and help enhance controls with business partners, while providing expert guidance to senior management.

You will engage with stakeholders to manage client asset risks, contribute to the control environment, and enable sustainable improvements across the risk

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in operational risk management, compliance, audit, or other control-related functions in financial services.
• Knowledge of Client Assets and Depositor Protection regulations in the UK and Ireland is highly desirable.
• Ability to identify, measure, and manage key risks and controls.

Responsibilities

• Support FCA CASS, CBI CAR, and MiFID II compliance across the group.
• Lead governance and oversight meetings with stakeholders and senior management.
• Track issues, breaches, and incidents with robust root cause analysis and remediation.
• Coordinate audit activities with External/Internal Audit and Compliance teams.
• Perform risk assessments to identify control weaknesses and emerging risks.
• Act as a bridge between client asset office and business lines on asset matters.
• Oversee MCA and CARE processes and ensure regulatory obligations are met.
• Collaborate with business partners to drive control enhancements and reduce risk.
