The national campaign is working to make poverty a focus of U.S. and U.K. foreign policy.

The Borgen Project is an international organization that works at the political level to improve living conditions for people impacted by war, famine, and poverty.

With 20 years of experience in advocacy, The Borgen Project has supported the passage of numerous bills benefitting close to 500 million people in developing countries.

Writer/Journalist Programme

This role focuses on content creation for BORGEN Magazine or The Borgen Project Blog.

This is a part-time, unpaid, remote programme of 12 hours per week for 12 weeks. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the programme sooner.

Responsibilities include:

  • Article writing
  • Researching topics
  • Supporting The Borgen Project's advocacy efforts
  • Assisting with fundraising by creating a personal campaign and meeting targets

Experience: No prior experience necessary. We seek passionate individuals committed to fighting poverty, regardless of background or GPA.

Details: This is an unpaid programme, though college credit may be available.

Start date: New programmes start every month; you can choose your start month.
