The Borgen Project believes that leaders of the most powerful nations on earth should be doing more to address global poverty. The national campaign is working to make poverty a focus of U.S. and U.K. foreign policy.

The Borgen Project is an international organization that works at the political level to improve living conditions for people impacted by war, famine, and poverty.

With 20 years of experience in advocacy, The Borgen Project has supported the passage of numerous bills benefiting close to 500 million people in developing countries.

Writer/Journalist Programme

This role focuses on content creation for BORGEN Magazine or The Borgen Project Blog.

This is a part-time, 12 hours per week, 12-week, unpaid remote program. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the program in fewer weeks.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Article writing
  2. Researching topics
  3. Assisting with advocacy efforts
  4. Assisting with fundraising, including creating a personal fundraising campaign and meeting targets

Experience: No prior experience necessary. We seek passionate individuals committed to fighting poverty and advocating for change, regardless of background or GPA.

Details: This is an unpaid program; college credit may be available.

Start Date: Programs begin each month. You can choose your start month.
