What is a Volunteer Stock/Donation Sorter?

Our Volunteer Stock/Donation Sorters play a crucial role in supporting the charity's goals by helping to manage and organise donated items.

This role ensures that donations are sorted, categorised, and prepared for sale, contributing to the smooth running of the day-to-day operation of our Blackburn store.

  • Preparation for Display/Sale: Prepare items for display in the shop, including steaming, wiping down, labeling, and pricing where necessary.
  • Maintaining Work Areas: Keep the sorting areas clean, organised, and safe, following all health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other volunteers and staff to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
What’s in it for you?

  • Reliability: Punctual and committed to scheduled volunteer shifts.
  • Positive Attitude: Friendly and approachable demeanor with a willingness to contribute to the team.
We value kindness, honesty, integrity, and reliability in our volunteers and staff. In return, we aim to provide a rewarding volunteer experience.
