Job summary

Volunteer Action in Oundle is seeking anOperations & Volunteer Support Lead to join a small team on a part-time, on-site basis. Based in Oundle, you will coordinate the community car scheme, support the befriending service, and guide volunteers while keeping clear records.

You will help improve processes, handle routine inquiries, assist with basic reporting, and contribute to the smooth running of the charity's office and operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations or service coordination, including scheduling, record-keeping, and process improvement.
• Ability to support and engage volunteers with strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management with attention to detail.
• Confident communication, both written and verbal with diverse community members.
• Competence with basic office software and willingness to learn new systems.
• Commitment to equality, inclusion, safeguarding, and working with potentially vulnerable adults.
• Charity, community, or social care experience is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to work on-site in Oundle during part-time hours and collaborate with a small team.
