Royal Victoria Country Park in Southampton is seeking a Volunteer Co-ordinator to lead and develop a thriving volunteer programme. You will recruit, train, support and inspire volunteers, ensuring a positive, rewarding experience while helping deliver services for visitors and the community.

You will act as primary contact for volunteers, work with staff and partners to create opportunities, and support park events and operational duties as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Experience of recruiting, coordinating and supporting volunteers or similar teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of people.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience of organising events, activities or public engagement programmes.
• Proactive and flexible approach; able to work independently and in a team.
• Good administrative, digital and marketing skills including keeping records and producing communications.

Aufgaben

• Lead recruitment, induction, training and development of volunteers.
• Coordinate volunteer rotas, communications and deployment across activities and services.
• Support volunteer groups involved in heritage, conservation, visitor services, events and community projects.
• Develop new volunteering opportunities that support park and heritage objectives.
• Organise volunteer recognition initiatives and events.
• Build relationships with community organisations, schools and local partners.
• Monitor participation and report on outcomes.
