The UK’s first purpose-built Cottage Hospice is a beautiful building, and we need a team of volunteer gardeners to create beautiful gardens to match it!

We are looking for enthusiastic gardeners to work together at Cottage Hospice, developing a planting schedule, weeding, pruning, watering, and general garden maintenance, including care of the paths and walkways on a rota basis.

If you are adaptable, flexible, knowledgeable, and have a passion for creating a calming and relaxing space, we would love to hear from you.

What will I be doing?

  • Liaising with the Volunteer Head Gardener and, where appropriate, the team
  • Liaising with the Volunteer Head Gardener and Cottage Hospice Manager to develop garden strategy and planning for the future
  • Maintaining garden safety, including the use of tools and machinery, chemicals, ladders, etc., in line with policies and procedures
  • Performing general gardening activities as listed in the Role Summary
