Our CrossReach Counselling volunteers work across a range of specialties and locations; face-to-face, online, and over the phone. We work in supportive, holistic teams that deliver exceptional counselling services to clients when they need it most, while maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards.
As a volunteer counsellor with CrossReach, you will provide a professional counselling service to clients. We will provide the necessary training to ensure you can practice within our guidelines. Additional training will be offered when you join the team.
We are seeking qualified counsellors to join our team on a voluntary basis. Applicants should have completed a diploma in counselling. For online client work, an ACTO-approved online training course is also required. We prefer volunteers to work with two to three clients per week and complete the associated case work.
If you join us as a volunteer counsellor, you will need to provide the name and contact details of your external supervisor.

This role requires membership in the PVG Scheme and the necessary vetting checks. You must also be registered with the SSSC and maintain professional standards for registration.
