Job description

Our CrossReach Counselling volunteers work across a range of specialities and locations; face-to-face, online and over the phone. We work in supportive, holistic teams that deliver exceptional Counselling services to clients when they need it most, whilst consistently working to the highest professional and ethical standards.

Main Duties

As a volunteer counsellor with CrossReach, you will provide a professional counselling service to clients. We will provide necessary training to ensure you can practice within our guidelines and support you in your role.

Qualifications

We are seeking qualified counsellors to join us on a voluntary basis. Candidates should have completed a diploma in counselling. For online client work, an ACTO-approved online training course is required. We prefer volunteers to work with two to three clients weekly and to complete related case work.

Volunteers must provide the name and contact details of their external supervisor.

• We are members of COSCA and adhere to its Ethics and Code of Practice. Our practitioners are qualified and registered with PSA-recognised bodies (e.g., BACP, COSCA, BAAT, UKCP), or are in the process of qualifying. The PSA ensures our practitioners meet professional standards.
