Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd. is seeking a Voids Working Foreperson in the Camberley area to lead a team of Void Operatives, ensuring high standards and timely delivery on site.

The role focuses on supervising, coaching, and providing ongoing support, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction in domestic/social housing settings.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant trade.
• Experience leading an on-site team.
• Driving licence and UK eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a successful, high performing Operative team on site.
• Produce and review productivity reports, confirm weekly timesheets, engage with customers and client.
• Undertake multi-trade work including plumbing, plastering, tiling, carpentry in domestic settings.
• Carry out typical repairs such as broken taps, leaking pipes, drainage unblocks, kitchen and bathroom repairs.
• Ensure properties are ready for handover, manage timeframes and deadlines.

We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a Voids Working Foreperson to join our Response and Maintenance team based in the Camberley area. In this role, you will be responsible for organising, supervising, and providing ongoing support to a team of Void Operatives, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

Competitive basic salary of £44,433 with the potential to earn up to £48,489

The Working Foreperson role:

We're committed to keeping you safe, happy and supported, therefore Health and Safety is paramount throughout the responsibilities of this role, for you, us, and the customer.

• Lead, coach and develop a successful, high performing Operative team, supporting them on site to deliver work to a high quality standard
• Utilise your IT skills, by producing and reviewing productivity reports, confirming weekly timesheets and engaging with customers and the client
• Undertaking multi trade work including jobs such as plumbing, patch plastering, tiling, and carpentry repair works in a domestic setting, utilising problem-solving capabilities.
• Typical repairs can include broken taps, leaking pipes, drainage unblocks, and general kitchen and bathroom repair work
• You will be responsible for ensuring our clients properties are ready for handover, working to deadlines and managing timeframes to ensure transitions run smoothly

What you will bring as a Working Foreperson:

• Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant trade
• Demonstrable experience of successfully leading an on site team
• Ideally experience of working within a domestic / social housing environment, or relevant response environment experience (albeit not essential)
• Having a passion for making a difference to peoples homes, you have strong values in delivering exceptional customer service skills, and enjoy working with people
• Driving license, with eligibility to drive in the UK
