Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting an experienced Voids Surveyor to join a North West London council on an ongoing contract. The role involves leading void inspections, preparing detailed schedules of works and specifications for repairs and refurbishment, and ensuring every property meets fire safety, health and safety and housing compliance before re-letting.

You'll monitor contractors, manage costs and timelines, and liaise with housing teams and stakeholders to minimise void turnaround times while

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Voids Surveyor in social housing or local authority.
• Strong knowledge of voids repairs, maintenance and property inspections.
• Good understanding of fire safety and housing compliance.
• Experience managing contractors and monitoring works through to completion.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct void property inspections and condition surveys.
• Prepare schedules of works and specifications for repairs and refurbishment.
• Ensure properties meet fire safety, health and safety and statutory compliance requirements.
• Monitor contractors, workmanship, costs, quality and timescales.
• Identify defects and ensure properties are safe and ready for re-letting.
• Liaise with housing teams, contractors and stakeholders to minimise void turnaround times.
