Job summary

The Housing Network in Leicester is seeking a Cleaning Operative to join our property services team. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm, focusing on bringing void properties up to a high standard and maintaining clean, safe communal areas.

You will work with residents and colleagues, follow COSHH policies, and carry out cleaning duties across rooms, kitchens, and common areas, while reporting repairs to the maintenance office.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled cleaning on void properties to high standards.
• Clean rooms and communal areas per contract targets.
• Prepare void rooms for new residents.
• Remove rubbish and dispose of correctly.
• Check appliances and common areas for hazards and cleanliness.
• Ensure communal areas are hygienic and well maintained.
• Report repairs to maintenance office.
• Carry out sharps sweeps and follow COSHH and company policies.
