Job summary

WPS is recruiting a Carpenter Multi Trader to join our Responsive Maintenance division in Walton-on-Thames. You will work on VOID properties, carrying out carpentry and multi-trade tasks to bring empty homes up to letting standard.

Based from our Walton-on-Thames office, you will ensure safe, high-quality workmanship and may need to support additional trades as required. DBS checks apply at offer stage, with inclusive pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Proven carpentry and multi-trade experience, preferably in voids or social housing.
• Ability to deliver high-quality workmanship under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repair, renewal, and reinstatement works within void properties.
• Complete a variety of carpentry and multi-trade tasks to prepare homes for re-let.
• Advise Supervisor when additional trades are required.
• Work independently or with others to complete void refurbishments.
• Complete daily work sheets detailing tasks and materials used.
• Ensure works are finished productively, safely, and to a high standard.
