The Role

We are hiring a Voices Editor to lead our award-winning comment desk. The ideal candidate is a team player with extensive contacts, a passion for diverse opinions on major news, and a solid understanding of digital journalism, social media, and SEO.

The candidate should be an avid news reader, opinionated yet diplomatic, skilled in headline writing and copy-editing, creative in commissioning content, and capable of engaging audiences innovatively.

• Experience in comment journalism or related roles in mainstream media.
• Excellent network of writers for commissioning topical pieces.
• Ability to secure contributions from prominent figures.
• Proven success in audience growth and introducing new writers digitally.
• Strong social media skills.
