Job Opportunity: Vocational Driver Trainer (HGV/PCV)

Location: Penistone (S36)

Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm (hours may vary on test days)

About the Role:

You will provide high-quality training and assessments in line with DVSA standards, supporting learners to meet required competencies.

Main Duties:

• Train learners practically to meet DVSA standards.
• Provide feedback and coaching on driving performance.
• Conduct driving assessments and identify development areas.
• Deliver classroom courses, including driver CPC and in-house training.
• Support learners with theory exam preparation.
• Travel within Sheffield area to conduct risk assessments for corporate clients.
• Develop vocational training sessions tailored to vehicle types and industry needs.
• Ensure training complies with legislation and standards.
• Stay updated on regulations and best practices.
• Promote safe driving and safety culture.
• Maintain records of training progress and assessments.
• Communicate effectively with learners, staff, and management.

Requirements:

• At least 12 months with C&E & CAT D license.
• Valid C+E & CAT D entitlement, CPC, Digi Tacho card.
• Experience in driver training is beneficial.
• Relevant vocational qualifications (e.g., DVLA driving instructor).
• Certificate in training practice or equivalent is advantageous.
