Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join the Compute & Storage workstream on a major CNI virtualisation programme in Glasgow. You will help move from Low-Level Design to build-ready detail and support the deployment across two sites.

You'll work closely with Network, Identity, Security and OT Applications teams, ensuring an auditable, compliant build in a regulated environment while contributing to design documentation and build guides.

Qualifications

• Hands-on VMware vSphere/vSAN experience, ideally vSAN ESA.
• Experience with HPE ProLiant hardware, deployment and iLO.
• Solid enterprise backup/DR knowledge, Rubrik is a strong plus.
• Windows Server infra (AD/PKI/RDS) to coordinate with Identity workstream.
• Ability to author/review LLDs, diagrams, build guides to audit-ready standards.
• Comfortable in regulated environments with customer/vendor engagement.

Responsibilities

• Author Low-Level Design content for Compute & Storage, turning proposed architecture into build-ready detail.
• Support build, commissioning and validation of 50+ node HCI across two sites.
• Collaborate with Network, Identity, Security and OT Applications workstreams for a coherent build.
