A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Analyst (VMware) in Coventry to manage and improve a complex virtualized infrastructure. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting virtualised infrastructure in enterprise environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Collaborative and proactive mindset, continuously seeking efficiency improvements.
• Experience working with infrastructure monitoring tools (SolarWinds, AppDynamics, Datadog).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and incident resolution for production VMware environments.
• Manage, maintain, and patch virtualised infrastructure (vSphere, UCS, HPE).
• Perform technical tasks such as resource allocation, storage management, and backup configuration.
• Use vRealize Operations Manager to monitor and optimise infrastructure performance.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure automation, scaling, and performance improvements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and procedures.

VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN

Cisco UCS, HPE Blade infrastructure

Backup tools (Commvault preferred)

Scripting and Linux command line familiarity
