Job summary

Zara Glasgow Fort is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the Menswear department in a fast-paced retail environment. You will drive commercial performance through product knowledge, visual merchandising, and people leadership.

Working closely with the General Manager and Department Managers, you will deliver an exceptional customer experience, ensure brand standards, and manage stock, layouts, and launches to maintain a strong brand image.

Qualifications

  • Previous management experience within fashion retail.
  • Strong visual merchandising experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to analyse reports and act on results.
  • Experience leading and developing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the commercial performance of the Menswear department through effective product management and visual merchandising.
  • Ensure floor layouts and product presentations align with Zara standards and commercial objectives.
  • Promote new collections and key fashion launches effectively.
  • Analyse daily, weekly, and monthly commercial reports to identify opportunities and implement action plans.
  • Manage in-store layouts, fixtures, tables, wall displays, and mannequins to maintain a strong brand image.
  • Monitor stock availability across clothing, footwear, accessories, and fragrances.
  • Stay informed on fashion trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity.
  • Partner with the Operations Manager to ensure digital tools and in-store technology are used effectively.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate product requirements to senior management.
  • Oversee operational processes relating to stock, warehouse organisation, replenishment, and reporting.
  • Promote adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Lead by example and support a positive and inclusive store culture.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop the commercial team to achieve their full potential.
  • Support on boarding and training for new starters.
  • Identify future talent and contribute to succession planning within the store.
  • Create an engaging environment where colleagues can develop and grow their careers.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service through strong product knowledge and commercial awareness.
  • Support the team in providing styling advice and alternative product solutions.
  • Drive customer engagement through Zara's services and in-store technology.
  • Ensure excellent housekeeping standards throughout the department.
  • Maintain compliance with company health and safety policies.
  • Actively promote Zara's sustainability initiatives and support environmentally responsible practices.

About the Role

At Zara, our Commercial Managers play a key role in driving the success of their department through strong product knowledge, commercial awareness, visual excellence, and people leadership.

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to lead our Menswear department in our Glasgow Fort store. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, has a strong eye for product and presentation, and enjoys developing high-performing teams.

Working closely with the General Manager and Department Managers, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while ensuring the department remains commercially focused, visually inspiring, and operationally efficient.

What You'll Be Doing
