Job description

Purpose of the role:

To deliver clear and concise store communications for Visual Merchandising as well as support & guidance for stores and the retail team through effective communication both in-store and remotely.

Accountabilities:

  1. Write and produce seasonal & weekly VM guidelines for retail. Collaborate with buying and merchandising teams to incorporate product information. Visit stores and take photos for weekly guides.
  2. Serve as a point of contact and knowledge source for all stores regarding VM. Communicate via email, phone, and store visits to assist with in-store layouts, graphic installations, and provide constructive feedback.
  3. Research merchandising and POS ideas from competitors, compile ideas into research packs, and utilize them to develop new graphic and product layout concepts.
  4. Provide comprehensive VM training to stores, covering creating commercial floor layouts and standards for lacing trainers, through in-person visits and shared content in VM manuals.
  5. Create and manage prop and graphic allocation spreadsheets, understanding store needs, and maintaining up-to-date store audit information to inform allocations.
  6. Ensure successful launch of brand campaigns in-store, including guidelines for key city stores and flagship window installations, as well as broader rollouts.
  7. Oversee the launch of in-store and window graphics and displays, ensuring alignment with guidelines.
  8. Be available to stores for VM queries and support, actively engaging through regular visits.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a Head Office VM role.
  • Commercial understanding of retail and current market trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to train teams confidently in VM best practices.
  • Organized with the ability to develop and adhere to clear critical paths.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office programs.
