Job summary

London Borough of Lambeth is seeking a Rehabilitation Officer for Visual Impairment to join our dedicated team in Brixton, London. You will work with blind and partially sighted people of all ages to promote independence and mobility.

The role requires a VI rehabilitation qualification at certificate/diploma level and at least 1 year of community-based experience, plus up-to-date safeguarding and VI legislation knowledge.

Qualifications

• Qualification in VI Rehabilitation at Certificate/Diploma level.
• At least 1 year of experience working with VI people in the community.
• Up-to-date knowledge of VI legislation and safeguarding obligations.

Responsibilities

• Work with blind and partially sighted individuals to promote independence and mobility.
• Deliver specialist services to improve independence and daily living.
• Collaborate with partner agencies and support networks to enable service users.
