Job summary

The Growth Company’s Marketing Manchester team is hiring a Content Assistant to support planning, curation and delivery of visual storytelling through photography, video and editorial content.

This hybrid role focuses on sourcing, commissioning and developing high-quality assets to meet Greater Manchester objectives, while assisting partners and stakeholders across key sectors. You will work with the Content Manager to plan, execute content that enhances Manchester’s profile.

Qualifications

• Ability to turn complex information into clear, engaging copy.
• Strong research and editing skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in content writing across multiple platforms and audiences.
• Ability to derive key messages from varied stakeholder requirements.
• Contribute creative ideas for image and video content briefs.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Create content promoting Greater Manchester as a place to visit, meet, invest and study.
• Write copy for multiple channels and campaigns.
• Support planning and delivery of image and video shoots.
• Collaborate with partners, agencies and freelancers to deliver outputs.
• Work with internal teams to maximise content reach and impact.
• Build relationships with stakeholders reflecting GM strengths and opportunities.
• Monitor content performance and report against targets.
• Assist with budget management for content activities.
