The Donkey Sanctuary, based in Sidmouth, seeks a Visitor Services Supervisor to lead a team and deliver exceptional visitor experiences. You will assist the Visitor Services Manager, ensuring safety, compliance, and first aid coverage while acting as Duty Manager in the absence of the manager. 37.5 hours per week with weekend work on a rota.

We value strong customer service, staff development, and effective communication, including public speaking and IT proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Formación

• Demonstrated supervisory experience in visitor services.
• Excellent customer service skills; handling inquiries/complaints.
• Proven management abilities including performance management.
• Experience in public speaking.
• Proficient IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to multitask under conflicting demands.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure excellent customer service as main priority for team.
• Provide a warm welcome and engage visitors with the charity.
• Assist to supervise and motivate the visitor services team.
• Ensure operations comply with health and safety policies.
• Take action during emergencies, weather warnings, complaints.
• Monitor facilities and visitor flow, maintain safety standards.
• Provide feedback on visitor operations to the Manager.
• Deliver informative talks and tours to visitors daily.
• Provide first aid when needed.
