The University of Law is seeking experienced Visiting Lecturers in modern languages to deliver pre-planned lessons, assess assignments and provide feedback within a higher education setting. You will teach online and on-campus sessions across CEFR levels and work with the Modern Languages team to support student learning.
Roles are hourly-paid with flexible delivery locations, from February 1 to the end of May 2027, with additional marking duties through June 2027.
We are keen to hear from experienced modern language teachers as we expand our bank of Visiting Lecturers to support our language provision at The University of Law.
As a Visiting Lecturer, you will deliver pre-planned language lessons using existing teaching materials and lesson plans, supporting students to develop their language skills across the relevant levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). You will also assess student work, provide constructive feedback and respond to student queries.
These are hourly paid opportunities offered on a worker contract, at a rate of £71.39 per hour. Reporting to the Head of Modern Languages, you will work as part of our Modern Languages team, with support available regardless of your location or mode of teaching.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced language teachers looking for flexible work alongside other professional or personal commitments, with the opportunity to share their expertise and support students within a higher education environment.
Please indicate your relevant language expertise and preferred teaching location or delivery method when applying.
We are looking for Visiting Lecturers who can support teaching from 1 February to the end of May 2027, with additional assessment and marking responsibilities during May and June 2027.
If you are shortlisted, we will discuss the full teaching timetable and assessment requirements with you, including the expected hours and scheduling of sessions, to help establish availability and suitability for the opportunity.
Regardless of campus location, you will be part of a supportive Modern Languages team and like-minded professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and positive outcomes for our students.
