Job summary

The University of Law is seeking experienced Visiting Lecturers in modern languages to deliver pre-planned lessons, assess assignments and provide feedback within a higher education setting. You will teach online and on-campus sessions across CEFR levels and work with the Modern Languages team to support student learning.

Roles are hourly-paid with flexible delivery locations, from February 1 to the end of May 2027, with additional marking duties through June 2027.

Qualifications

• Proficiency at CEFR C1 level or above in the relevant language(s).
• A recognised teaching qualification or equivalent experience in higher education.
• Confident and articulate teaching skills with ability to engage and support students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned language lessons using the University's teaching materials and plans.
• Teach and support students across CEFR levels.
• Mark in-course assignments and final assessments with constructive feedback.
• Respond to student queries and support students throughout their learning.
• Collaborate with the Modern Languages team and adapt teaching for online and in-person settings.
