Job summary

Birmingham City University is seeking Visiting Lecturers to contribute to Undergraduate and Postgraduate Education and Initial Teacher Training programmes. Roles are part-time with hourly pay, based in the Department of Education and Initial Teacher Training at the City Centre Campus.

We welcome applicants with QTS and strong practice-informed teaching to inspire learners and support practical learning, in a department with strong school partnerships and placement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in Education and Initial Teacher Training.
• Ability to engage and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, seminars, workshops and practical sessions.
• Support student learning and academic development.
• Provide assessment, feedback and moderation activities.
• Contribute professional and industry expertise to programme delivery.
• Support placement and practice-based learning where appropriate.
• Act as a Personal Academic Tutor and undertake school visits where relevant.
