Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain GMC registration, including Specialist Register, with evidence provided on request.
• CCST/CCT (or equivalent) in Psychiatry required; inpatient experience preferred.
• Experience in private/independent practice and working in adult mental health settings.

Responsibilities

• Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds and risk reviews.
• Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
• Supervising referral and admission processes, including preadmission assessments of youth.
• Providing a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team in assessment and treatment.
