Job summary

Priory Hospital Hayes Grove in the UK is seeking a Visiting Consultant Psychiatrist to join the CAMHS team on a self-employed basis. You will provide expert psychiatric leadership, assess young people, and help develop individual care plans within a multidisciplinary setting.

The role includes clinical responsibility for patients, supervision of referrals and admissions, and contributing to governance. GMC registration with Specialist Register eligibility is required, plus CCST/CCT or equivalent

Qualifications

• GMC registration and Specialist Register eligibility.
• CCST or CCT (or equivalent) in psychiatry.
• Experience in inpatient mental health settings with challenging cases.

Responsibilities

• Take clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds and risk reviews.
• Fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
• Supervise referrals and admissions including preadmission assessments of young people.
• Provide a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team for assessment, formulation and treatment of adults.
