Job summary

Priory Hospital Hayes Grove is seeking a Visiting Consultant Psychiatrist to join the CAMHS team on a self-employed, contract basis. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, assessing and implementing patient care plans and contributing to strategic reviews.

You will hold GMC registration with Specialist Register and have CCST/CCT or equivalent; inpatient CAMHS experience is essential. The role involves ward rounds, risk reviews, and acting as Responsible Clinician under the Mental Health

Qualifications

• Must hold GMC registration with Specialist Register.
• CCST/CCT or equivalent in psychiatry is required.
• Experience in inpatient settings with mental health challenges preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, and development of a therapeutic milieu.
• Fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
• Supervise the referral and admission processes, including preadmission assessments of young people with the team.
• Provide a psychiatric perspective to the MDT for assessment, formulation and treatment of adults.
