Job summary

Elliot Marsh Ltd is assisting a client in recruiting a Headteacher for a growing primary school in Essex. The role is based at South Woodham Ferrers and offers a competitive salary of £65k to £75k per year.

The Headteacher will provide strategic and operational leadership, drive teaching quality and pupil outcomes, and work with the Multi-Academy Trust to develop the school within its network.

Qualifications

• An experienced Headteacher or senior school leader with a proven track record of improving educational standards.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with experience building high-performing teams.
• Sound operational and organisational capabilities, including budgeting, safeguarding and statutory duties.

Responsibilities

• Set vision and strategic direction to raise educational standards and pupil achievement.
• Lead and develop teaching and support staff with high expectations and collaboration.
• Oversee curriculum planning, assessment and school performance using data to drive improvements.
• Uphold safeguarding, inclusion and pupil wellbeing in a safe learning environment.
• Manage operations, staffing and resources while engaging parents and the wider community.
