Job summary

Belmont Recruitment are seeking an experienced Education Officer/Advisor to join Nottingham City Council's Virtual School Service on an initial 3-month temporary contract. You will support the educational progress and achievement of children in care, previously looked-after children and children with a social worker.

You will work alongside schools, carers, social workers and other professionals to improve attainment, attendance and engagement while ensuring children receive appropriate

Qualifications

• Experience as an Education Officer/Advisor within a Virtual School.
• Ability to monitor attainment, progress and attendance.
• Ability to collaborate with schools, carers and social workers.

Responsibilities

• Support children to access high-quality, inclusive educational opportunities.
• Provide professional advice, practical support and constructive challenge to improve educational planning and outcomes.
• Monitor attainment, progress, attendance and engagement.
• Identify barriers to learning and ensure timely interventions.
• Work collaboratively with schools, carers, social workers and partner organisations.
• Promote high expectations and help narrow attainment gaps.
• Encourage inclusive educational provision and appropriate adjustments for children with additional needs.
