Belmont Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Education Officer / Deputy Head of Virtual School to join Nottingham City Council's Virtual School Service on a 3-month temporary contract.

You will oversee educational support for children in care, previously looked-after children and those with a social worker, while leading a team of Education Officers and a Data Officer to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• QTS and prior Deputy Head of Virtual School experience are essential.
• Experience leading a team of Education Officers and a Data Officer.
• Ability to monitor data, identify gaps and evaluate interventions.
• Proven ability to work with schools, carers, social workers and families.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day delivery of educational support by the Virtual School.
• Manage and develop a team of Education Officers and a Data Officer.
• Monitor educational data to identify gaps, measure progress and evaluate interventions.
• Lead improvements in attendance, engagement, inclusion and educational participation.
• Collaborate with schools, carers, social workers, families and partner organisations.
• Identify barriers to learning and implement targeted support.
• Promote high expectations to narrow attainment gaps.
• Provide case oversight to ensure timely support delivery.
• Deputise for the Headteacher of the Virtual School.

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Senior Education Officer / Deputy Head of Virtual School to join Nottingham City Council's Virtual School Service on an initial 3-month temporary contract.

You will oversee the delivery of educational support for children in care, previously looked-after children and children with a social worker. You will also lead a team of Education Officers and a Data Officer, working closely with schools, carers, social workers and families to improve educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of educational support provided by the Virtual School.
• Manage and develop a team of 8 Education Officers and 1 Data Officer, providing supervision and professional guidance.
• Monitor educational data to identify gaps, measure progress and evaluate interventions.
• Lead improvements in attendance, engagement, inclusion and educational participation.
• Work collaboratively with schools, carers, social workers, families and partner organisations.
• Identify barriers to learning and ensure appropriate support is implemented.
• Promote high expectations and help narrow attainment and progress gaps.
• Provide case oversight to ensure support is delivered effectively and in a timely manner.
• Deputise for the Headteacher of the Virtual School.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous experience working within a Virtual School in a Deputy Head of Virtual School capacity.
