Cheshire East Council is recruiting Virtual School Advisors to safeguard educational journeys for looked-after children. You will join a multi-agency team to quality assure Personal Education Plans, attend statutory meetings, and help schools remove barriers to learning.

The role involves managing a caseload of around 100 children, travelling across Cheshire East, and working with SEND professionals to support plans and placements. A resilient, collaborative communicator will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Experience working with looked-after children and education settings.
• Ability to present information clearly and transparently.
• Knowledge of current developments in education and SEND processes.

Responsibilities

• Quality assure termly Personal Education Plans.
• Attend statutory meetings with social care colleagues.
• Support schools to identify suitable education settings and overcome barriers.
• Navigate application processes for education placements.
• Deliver training to Designated Teachers, social workers and governors.
