Job summary

Education First Recruitment is seeking two Education Officers/Advisors to support a Virtual School, aiming to improve outcomes for looked-after children and eligible learners. These interim roles require experience with Virtual School work and collaboration across schools and partner agencies. Location and arrangements to be confirmed.

You will advise, monitor progress and help coordinate Personal Education Plans, with a focus on engagement, attendance and attainment.

Qualifications

• Previous Virtual School experience is essential.
• Knowledge of the educational needs of looked-after and vulnerable learners.
• Experience supporting schools, education planning and multi-agency working.
• Understanding of PEPs, safeguarding and educational progress monitoring.
• Strong communication, organisation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and work collaboratively with professionals.

Education First is seeking two experienced Education Officers / Advisors to support the work of a Virtual School, helping to improve educational outcomes for children looked after and other eligible children and young people.

These opportunities are suited to education professionals with previous Virtual School experience, strong knowledge of the barriers vulnerable learners may face and the ability to work effectively with schools and partner agencies.

The Role
