Job summary

Avanade UK Limited is seeking a Virtual Engineering Ops professional for a 6-month contract. Remote with occasional travel to London, you will implement IaC, manage desktop/server environments, and develop automation scripts to ensure security and performance across scalable platforms.

You will work with AWS/Azure, Citrix/VMware, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins/GitHub/GitLab to drive DevOps practices, under an umbrella contract inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Engineering leadership experience in technology sectors.
• Proficient with Citrix, VMware, Terraform.
• Cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS.
• Familiar with automation tools (Packer, Jenkins).
• Windows Server management; Group Policy knowledge.
• Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of security/compliance standards.
• Scripting and automation using GitLab or GitHub.

Responsibilities

• Implement Infrastructure as Code and automation strategies.
• Manage enterprise desktop and server environments.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for processes.
• Ensure security and compliance of systems and data.
