Job summary

Jaguar Land Rover in Ryton is seeking a Bespoke Paint Technician to join our skilled paints team. You’ll prepare, paint and polish bespoke vehicles, including VIP one-off commissions, upholding exacting finish standards and quality control.

You will bring City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in automotive/engineering, proven body and paint experience, and a collaborative approach to deliver premium results on every project in a fast-paced luxury environment.

Qualifications

City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Automotive/Engineering or equivalent.
Proven experience in body and plastic preparation, paint application, and polishing.
Strong problem-solving skills in technical paint application and repair processes.
Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from others.

Responsibilities

Full cleaning and preparation of panels, including masking prior to paint application.
Paint mixing and application to high standards (Gloss, Satin & Matte).
Polishing of bodies and plastics to mirror finish and JLR standards.
Painting non-commissioned, one-of-one bespoke vehicles.
Working on non-standard production vehicles with unique specifications.
Adhere to Health & Safety and 5S standards in paint shop tasks.
