Shaka Social, based in Glasgow, is seeking a Creative Video Producer & Editor to film and edit high-end brand shoots and rapid social content. You will collaborate with our content, paid, and strategy teams to realise bold, social-first ideas that perform.

You will handle filming, lighting, and audio on-set, edit in DaVinci Resolve, and deliver both narrative long-form videos and short social edits for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

• Proven experience filming and editing professional-grade video content.
• Strong proficiency with professional grade cameras.
• Excellent eye for framing, lighting and storytelling.
• Experience with social platforms and fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Filming and producing short-form and long-form content on-set.
• Direct and capture a variety of content styles, from polished commercials to fast-paced social clips.
• Own shoots, manage on-set logistics and maintain high creative standards.
• Edit primarily in DaVinci Resolve; produce social edits and longer-form videos.
• Basic colour grading and sound design for a consistent, high-quality finish.
• Collaborate with paid and organic content teams to align video content with campaign goals.
• Contribute creative input to briefs and adapt storytelling to platforms.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Creative Video Producer & Editor to join our growing creative team. You’ll be responsible for both filming and editing video content that spans high-end brand shoots and fast-turnaround social content. Your work will range from producing premium storytelling videos for clients like Whyte & Mackay to creating engaging short-form edits for campaigns across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube for clients, such as Skyscanner. You’ll collaborate closely with our content, paid, and strategy teams to bring bold, social-first ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Filming & Production Plan, film, and produce short-form and longer-form content using professional camera, lighting, and audio equipment.
• Confidently direct and capture a variety of content styles; from polished commercial shoots to fast-paced, reactive social clips.
• Take ownership of your shoots, managing on-set logistics and maintaining high creative standards.
• Editing Edit primarily in DaVinci Resolve, producing both fast-turnaround social edits (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) and narrative-driven long-form videos.
• Perform basic colour grading and sound design to achieve a consistent, high-quality finish.
• Adapt editing style and pacing to different brands, audiences, and platforms.
• Collaboration Work closely with both the paid advertising and organic content teams to ensure that video content aligns with campaign goals.
• Bring creative input to ideation sessions and contribute fresh ideas to briefs.
• Understand the nuances of social-first storytelling and how to make content stand out in fast-scrolling feeds.

• Proven experience filming and editing professional-grade video content.
• Strong proficiency with professional grade cameras.
• Strong proficiency in DaVinci Resolve (bonus points for knowledge of other software).
• A creative eye for framing, lighting, and storytelling.
• Understanding of social platforms and what makes content perform.
• Confident working independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, creative environment.
• Comfortable handling camera, lighting, and audio setups on-set.
