Job summary

IMI media is seeking a Video Journalist/Editor to join their international editorial team in the UK. This role is essential for creating compelling video content that presents a Middle Eastern perspective to global audiences. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of video journalism experience and a degree in Journalism or a related field.

You will film interviews, edit stories, and collaborate with editorial and production teams, ensuring high editorial integrity. Strong skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and excellent English are required.

From filming high-impact interviews and events to scripting and editing powerful stories, you'll be part of a team that values editorial integrity, creativity, and innovation in multimedia storytelling.

Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in video journalism for a respected news outlet

Degree title

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications, or related field
• Film interviews, b-roll, and live events using professional equipment.
• Script and edit video stories with clarity, accuracy, and editorial consistency.
• Collaborate across editorial, production, and social media teams to enhance audience engagement.
• Contribute additional multimedia elements (photography, captions, short text) as needed.
• Operate effectively in high-pressure, field-based or breaking news scenarios.
• Strong shooting/editing skills (Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent).
• Experience with motion graphics, mobile journalism, or drone videography is a plus.
• Strong understanding of digital storytelling and audience-first video formats.
• Excellent written and spoken English (Arabic is a plus).
• Familiarity with CMS, newsroom tools, and metadata best practices.
• Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
