Job summary

A creative agency in Liverpool is seeking a skilled Creative Video Editor to produce high-quality video content for a diverse clientele. The Role:

The Creative Video Editor plays a pivotal role in crafting high-quality video content across a diverse client portfolio. This hands‑on position is ideal for an editor with agency experience who is confident working across brand, campaign and content projects, and thrives throughout the full post‑production process – from interpreting briefs and shaping narratives to editing, refining and delivering polished final outputs.

Working closely with the Head of Post‑Production, you will bring a sharp storytelling instinct, strong technical expertise, and a passion for crafting impactful visual narratives. You will edit, refine and assemble engaging content, confidently managing multiple projects while maintaining quality, consistency and creative ambition.

With advanced NLE skills – including audio mixing, colour grading and preparing projects for final delivery – you’ll ensure each piece meets the highest production standards. You’ll also create original graphics or animations when required, maintain organised workflows, and manage media assets efficiently, delivering work that is precise, compelling and always on deadline.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Present and justify editorial choices – such as pacing, narrative structure, music, and visual style – internally and, when required, directly to clients.
  • Confidently manage multiple edits, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring each project progresses smoothly through the post‑production pipeline.
  • Understand commercial and creative objectives, making informed editorial decisions that keep projects efficient, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Actively contribute to creative discussions, offering editorial insight that elevates storytelling and supports the continued growth of the team and business.
Who We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking someone who can communicate creative vision clearly, develop ideas to their strongest visual and conceptual form, and maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail. You are adaptable to changing priorities, demonstrate strong teamwork and problem‑solving skills, and bring in‑depth technical and creative knowledge. A solid understanding of visual storytelling fundamentals, graphic design principles, and creative direction is essential to deliver inspired and premium work.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in video or film production
  • Highly skilled in the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, and with knowledge of DaVinci Resolve as a plus.
  • Proficiency in After Effects is required, including the ability to create custom motion graphics and animations.
  • A strong understanding of codecs, file formats and efficient post‑production workflows.
  • Experience in sound design, audio mixing and music syncing to enhance narrative impact is essential.
  • Excellent project management skills including media organisation, archiving, and meeting deadlines ensure smooth delivery across multiple projects.
