Job summary

SocialsGroup is seeking a freelance video editor to craft social content for hospitality clients, editing reels for Instagram and TikTok as well as longer branded films.

Work is remote and project-based, with pay per edit or monthly retainer. You’ll collaborate with a fast-moving creative team, meet weekly deadlines, and bring trend-driven ideas to life.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in video editing.
• Fluent in English; confident on calls.
• Lives on Instagram/TikTok; understands platform trends.
• AI-literate; uses tools like ChatGPT/Claude to move faster.
• Open minded; willing to learn; takes feedback.

Responsibilities

• Edit short-form reels (10–30s) for Instagram + TikTok.
• Edit long-form branded films (60–120s).
• Sound design, typography, motion overlays as needed.
• Manage revisions via Frame.io.
• Hit weekly delivery deadlines.

The seat

Edit reels and long-form for hospitality clients pulling 50M+ monthly views. Contract / freelance, paid per piece.

The core role

• Edit short-form reels (10–30s) for Instagram + TikTok
• Edit long-form branded films (60–120s)
• Sound design, on-screen typography, motion overlays where the brief calls for it
• Manage revisions via Frame.io
• Hit weekly delivery deadlines

What you'll do

• Day-to-day video editing of client + internal content for social and TV platforms
• Working with the creative team to manage revisions of existing videos and conceptualising new ideas
• Ensuring all videos are completed on time and to a high standard ready for launch
• Keeping a pulse on social media to find out what's working for others, what's trending and incorporating that into your videos
