Job summary

Formula E is seeking a Video Editor to drive our brand's visual identity through post-production, focusing on high-retention YouTube content and social assets. You will manage pacing, sound, color, and motion graphics, while supporting live race footage from our broadcast facility.

You will lead a Junior Video Editor, coordinate with teams, and deliver quick-turnaround content for a global audience from our London-based hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Proven track record with high-performing YouTube content and fast-turnaround sports coverage.
• Strong understanding of pacing, hooks, and retention metrics to maximize viewer engagement.
• Collaborative, feedback-driven, and able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in post-production for live or high-energy sports is a plus.

Responsibilities

• YouTube & Social Content Creation: edit weekly YouTube videos; reformat assets for TikTok, Reels, Shorts.
• Hook & Narrative Structuring: craft opening hooks and refine pacing with visual effects.
• Audio & Visual Enhancements: sound design, dialogue mixing, music, and color grading.
• Live Race & Operational Support: clip during live events and manage Junior Video Editor.

The Role:

As the Video Editor, you will be the driving force behind our brand's visual identity, taking charge of our post-production pipeline to transform raw footage into high-impact, high-quality video content. Focusing heavily on high-retention content for our YouTube channel alongside promotional and social media deliverables, you will master the art of pacing, visual storytelling, and viewer psychology to build a loyal, highly engaged audience. In this role, you will also manage a Junior Video Editor and support live race weekend coverage with fast-turnaround content directly from our broadcast facility.

• YouTube & Social Content Creation: Complete assembly and high-retention editing of weekly YouTube videos, while reformatting and cropping primary assets into high-performing short-form content for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.

• Hook & Narrative Structuring: Craft high-impact intro hooks and refine video pacing using zooms, text pops, b-roll, and visual assets to maintain viewer attention.

• Audio & Visual Enhancements: Deliver complete sound design, dialogue mixing, and music selection, while integrating motion graphics, kinetic typography, CTA cards, and color grading.

• Live Race & Operational Support: Execute reactive clipping and editing during live race weekends, manage media archiving, and line manage a Junior Video Editor.

What we're looking for in you:

• Proven Track Record:Solid experience as a Video Editor with a portfolio showcasing high-performing YouTube content, long-form storytelling, and fast-turnaround live or high-energy sports coverage (motorsport experience is a plus).

• Technical Mastery:Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, intermediate skills in Adobe After Effects, and strong fundamentals in audio engineering and color correction.

• Retention & Pacing Savvy:An intuitive grasp of comedic timing, visual pattern interrupts, and audience analytics to prevent drop-off and maximise viewer retention.

• Collaborative & Proactive Mindset:Highly organised, open to feedback across draft revisions, and driven to pitch creative ideas while hitting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This is a hybrid role and you'll be required to do 3 days a week in our Hammersmith London office
