Job summary

The Sun is offering a Video Apprentice position as part of a 2-year apprenticeship starting January 2027 at London Bridge. You will join the video production team to edit and produce content for YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook, working with senior editors.

You'll gain hands-on training, earn above national living wage, four days on site and one study day toward an NCTJ Diploma in Journalism, with mentorship from industry professionals.

Qualifications

• Creative flair for storytelling through video and digital media.
• Strong understanding of social platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
• Practical knowledge or basic skills in video software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects.

Responsibilities

• Edit clips using Adobe Premiere Pro to cut social clips and formats.
• Research guests and compile background info sheets.
• Pitch creative ideas in team brainstorms.
• Support on shoot days by setting up gear and props.
• Spot social moments and create episode summaries for social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube).
• Assist with shoot logistics including travel and accommodations.
• Handle team admin like meeting notes and guest releases.
• Organise media files with clear naming and easy retrieval.
