Job summary

Staffordshire University Academy is seeking an experienced senior leader to join as Vice Principal: Behaviour and Inclusion, to work with the Vice Principal: Quality of Education and lead a strong pastoral team for students aged 11–19.

This permanent appointment offers 32.5 hours per week, a salary of £82,654 - £91,158, and a start date of 1 January 2027. The role includes safeguarding, inclusion, and strategic leadership across the academy.

Qualifications

• Experience leading high-performing pastoral teams.
• Track record of impact in improving behaviour and inclusion.
• Strong strategic leadership and safeguarding experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across the academy, shaping and embedding vision, values and culture.
• Lead behaviour, attendance and pastoral strategy with high expectations and a culture of belonging.
• Oversee safeguarding, inclusion and student welfare in collaboration with DSL and pastoral teams.
• Drive improvements in attendance, behaviour, attainment and progress with appropriate interventions.
• Lead and develop the Behaviour for Learning, rewards and student motivation strategies.
